Once again we found ourselves with a pile of raw materials (see Jars on Wood, but this time it was apples, not wood) and the need to make something. So in preparation for the fall, we decided to experiment with apple butter recipes. Back to the kitchen we went.
Now we have two versions of apple butter. Both are tasty, but certainly different. There are varying philosophies when it comes to the art of making apple butter. We're not sure which is best, so we figure this is the perfect opportunity for a party. Just drop by. Taste some apple butter. Tell us which is the most delicious. Have some snacks. Laugh a lot (obviously the best part).
We will also have our other varieties of jam available for sampling - a great opportunity to taste test if you are considering placing an order for your special event this summer.
For now, let's plan on February 22nd... unless Elizabeth delivers Baby Hargett a little early, in which case we will need to reschedule.
Please consider this your formal invitation to come on over.
PS – while the apples were simmering (literally all. day. long.) we made some signs (remember that pile of wood?). We would love to make one for you. At $10 each, we think they’re a steal. And you can customize to your liking. Beat that, Hobby Lobby.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
